NaraPark

Nara Park, established in 1880, is one of Japan’s oldest and most famous parks. Covering approximately 660 hectares, it is home to many historical buildings and landmarks, including Todaiji Temple, Kofukuji Temple, and Kasuga Taisha Shrine, all dating back to the Nara period (8th century). The park is also known for its free-roaming deer, which are considered sacred messengers of the gods. Around 1,200 deer inhabit the park.

Interacting with the Deer
